Maverick Transportation announced Steve Carlson of Biggsville, IL, as their Driver of the Month for March 2008. Carlson is a dedicated driver and driver instructor for Maverick’s Specialized fleet. He was part of the Schneider Specialized team prior to making the transition to Maverick Specialized through the company’s acquisition in 2006. He has a total of 7 years of professional driving experience in the Specialized fleet.

“Steve is one of the best drivers in the company,” said Fleet Manager Cary Myer. “He is always looking for ways to help the company, his students, and fellow drivers. His work ethic is second to none.”

Every month Maverick recognizes a driver from the company’s fleet who takes pride in his profession and the company, employs safety, and maintains Maverick standards in all they do. Employees vote from the twelve Drivers of the Month and the Driver of the Year will be announced at the end of 2008. As Driver of the Month, Carlson will also represent Maverick drivers on the prestigious Driver Advisory Council.
