Maverick Transportation announced driver John Wright of Louisville, KY as their Driver of the Month for April 2009. Wright has been a Maverick driver for almost two years.

“John has an excellent attitude and is thrilled to be working at Maverick,” said Fleet Manager Rhonda Brignac. “There are countless instances where John has gone above and beyond to help out fellow drivers.”

The fourth recipient of twelve Drivers of the Month for 2009, Wright has proven himself a leader in the company’s fleet. He rates among the best in his fleet for performance numbers, has a safety award, and also received the coveted “maroon marauder” award pin from a fellow driver.

Wright states that the best part of working at Maverick is, “helping other drivers.” Many of his fellow drives would attest to that.

Every month Maverick recognizes a driver from the company’s fleet who takes pride in his profession and the company, employs safety, and maintains Maverick standards in all they do. Employees vote from the twelve Drivers of the Month and the Driver of the Year will be announced at the end of 2009. As Driver of the Month, Wright will also represent Maverick drivers on the prestigious Driver Advisory Council.
